A: Not necessarily. It depends on the features you want. Zoom Phone supports a wide range of SIP‑based certified devices (Poly, Yealink, Cisco, etc.), and you can mix softphones with desk phones. (Note: All available features do not work on all certified devices – We have identified the devices that all available features will work on correctly – we can supply these devices to you.)
Q: Is fax truly integrated?
A: Yes. Zoom Online Fax uses your dedicated (ported) Zoom Phone number—encrypted in transit, with retention and audit logs. (In some cases, Encryption on fax lines may have limitations.)
Q: What about compliance for healthcare or finance?
A: Zoom maintains SOC 2 Type 2 and supports HIPAA via BAA for eligible plans; we configure Zoom to your requirements and preserve evidence in GRC.
